Daegu & Gyeongbuk Tour Stamp Trail

What exactly is the Daegu & Gyeongbuk Tour Stamp Trail?

It is a travel booklet that features 70 locations spread all over Daegu and Gyeongbuk. Each tourist attraction is home to a stamp that adventure-seekers can mark in the book showing they have been there. Every year, starting around March, this stamp book is released and you have until the end of October to fill it up as much as you want. It isn’t just about the stamps though; it’s more about exploring Gyeongbuk and Daegu’s uniqueness, history, food, and everything else in between!! It is great for anyone who:

  • doesn’t know much about the area
  • likes to get out and explore
  • knows the area but wants to see new things
  • pretty much lives in Daegu or Gyeongbuk!!
Running period: March ~ October 31
Period to turn in stamp book: November 1 ~ 30
Places to turn in stamp book: Dongseong-ro tourist info center, Dongdaegu tourist info center, Daegu airport tourist information center

*participants aren't required to turn in the book. It's only for those who want to attend the end-of-the-year ceremony and get a completion certificate.

Where can I get it and how much is it?

For only 1,000 won, you can get it at:

Is the Daegu & Daegu Vicinity Stamp Trail book available in other languages?

No, sadly it is only available in Korean. However, I hope this guide can still be a reference so you can get on the road and start exploring with no problem!

Why are there 70 areas? Which ones are in Daegu?

The locations are all unique in their own way. Ranging from a bread alley, an observatory on a mountain to a Japan-Korea friendship center, you can see tons of great tourist attractions.

What are the other 14 locations?

The other remaining stamp locations take you to the outskirts of Daegu city in the province of Gyeongsangbuk-do. In these places, you can find a more peaceful environment in the countryside. Nonetheless, they’re just as unique and worth seeing as the ones within the city.

Since I started this website I’ve covered a good chunk of this list of attractions. Over the course of time, I will continue to showcase each location as I trek up and down Gyeongbuk.

What else does the Daegu & Gyeongbuk Tour Stamp Trail include? A website?

Other information in the stamp trail book includes:

  • information about the different city bus tours available in Daegu and Gyeongbuk
  • phone numbers to all of the travel information centers and the stamp locations
  • a page to fill out your personal information to easily find you just in case you lose your book.

Some useful sites:

Daegu City Tour

City Tour Bus

Is there a prize or something if I get a certain amount of stamps?

YES! Koreans need at least thirty stamps and expats need at least ten stamps to be able to turn the book in at the end of the period. It must be turned in at any of the three locations: Dongseong-ro Tourist Info Center, Dongdaegu Tourist Info Center, Daegu Airport Tourist Information Center.
